Midnight +

TLDR: You only use the Midnight+ if a time card line starts after midnight, and the start of the call is before midnight.

The Midnight+ modifier is used to order timecard lines when the call extends into the next calendar day. When you are creating a time card that extends past midnight and you need to create timecard lines that start after midnight, you need to select the midnight + to have that timecard line show up at the end of the day and not the beginning of the day.

A couple notes about the Midnight+ modifier:

  • Calls in CurtainTime can span two calendar days, reporting the start date as the date of the call. Timecard lines are automatically sorted/ordered based on the start time, so as long as the start time is in the same calendar day, midnight + does not need be used.

  • Midnight + only needs to be used If the time card line starts at or after midnight, this sorts those timecard lines to show that they are happening on the next calendar day, be are a continuation of the day in which the call started.

  • If you had a timecard where the first call started at 1am, than you would also not need to select Midnight +, because it is starting on the same date as the end time and it should be the first time card line in the series.

  • if the time card line spans midnight” (like 9pm - 1am ), CurtainTime will automatically split it at midnight for you - nothing for you to do in that case.   You will Only need to click midnight+ if the entire line starts on or after midnight.
